Ogura’s MWB Series Electromagnetic Multiple-Disk Brakes are designed for high torque stopping and holding in compact installation spaces.

The brake uses multiple friction discs to increase torque capacity without significantly increasing overall size. When energized, the electromagnetic coil engages the stacked disc pack to deliver consistent braking torque across the operating range. This design allows higher torque density compared to single-disc brakes while maintaining controlled engagement.

The MWB series supports a wide range of bore sizes for integration into various shaft-driven systems. Operating on 24 VDC, the series is suited for industrial applications requiring reliable braking under higher load conditions.
